Mazan had a rich past: At the cemetery Mazan based stone sarcophagi of the sixth and seventh centuries, found in fields in the eighteenth century.The fortified gates date back to the twelfth and fourteenth and the church of Pareloup (XII and XV)

The lords have left Mazan some memories such as the castle of the Marquis de Sade, today **** hotel and gourmet restaurant.

The Carri festival of Mazan (the cart of seigeneur) Since 1725, a once in a generation, during the Carri festival, the population of Mazan lets off steam by aping the lord and notables. A parade traditionally meets the consuls mounted on mules, the chariot of Lord pulled by draft horses on September 20, followed by several other tanks including the snails and the judges of good bottles .... the feast takes place every 20 years ... everyone ends up in the woods of rouret to feast!
