Between Avignon and Orange , Courthézon cited Medieval takes its name from the Celtic "Curtis" construction "Dunum" hill which would mean building on the pitch. Courthezon partly preserved fortifications that were built in the twelfth century stone taken from Saint Georges Careers exploited by the Romans for the construction of the Roman Theatre of Orange.
The Church of St. Denis Romanesque style dates back to Charlemagne, inside you will discover wonderful classified organ.
