Brantes is a village perched at the northern extremity of the department, the La Drôme Provençale border. The village faces north side of Mont Ventoux. Toulourenc overlooking the valley.
The town is built in the biosphere reserve of Mont Ventoux (label "MAB" Man and Biosphere awarded in 1990 by UNESCO)
