Lavender festival in Sault 15 Aôut 2015
Each year by 15 August, still many visitors invade Defend Racetrack, only in France decorated in the center of a field of lavender!
A fairyland of colors, smells and flavors to celebrate the flower of Provence , Lavander. The Country of Sault smells freshly cut lavender, it's time to celebrate.
Do not miss, at 10am lavender cutting championship of France with a sickle (event reserved for professionals) and the lavender cutting contest with a sickle (event reserved for amateurs). All day succeed farandoles happy with Provencal folk groups and all teams dressed in their fragrant strands.There is also the lavender farmers' market, the products of the farm, a book fair, an exhibition of paintings, village crafts, a horse show and a closing concert in Provence.
In the morning Mass in the church of Our Lady of the animated tour by the drummers of Vaison.
At 12:30, a picnic served in the shade of oaks. Reservation meals Sault Tourist Office (04 90 64 01 21). Children are not forgotten with the pony rides program and exhibition of a hive.
