La Bastide des Jourdans is a village in the Aigues valley south of the Luberon. Founded in the early thirteenth by the Count of Forcalquier, La Bastide des Jourdans is named after its first lords, 
knights and Pierre Guillaume Jourdan who built the first bastide.La Bastide des Jourdans is a fortified hilltop village of 428 m elevation dominated by a castle of the thirteenth which some vestiges remain. Between its medieval towers, the South Luberon allows many bike rides and hiking, and the discovery of the villages in the valley of Aigues
