Leaned with an amphitheatre of beautiful coloured hills, the grounds of Visan belong to the enclave of the popes since 1344. Visan dominates a vast plain of vineyards producing a famous wine.
All the conditions are met here to ensure a wine of quality: an argillaceous and stony soil, a climate liberally sunny and traditional methods respected by the vine growers.
At the village, you will discover many private mansions of the XVII° and XVIII° while walking you in its sinuous lanes. The most picturesque street is certainly the street paved in calade of the door of Martel. You will be able to cross beautiful old doors, as well as the vestiges of the ramparts. Visan is an old village restored well and pleasant to visit.

To a few hundred meters of the village, the vault ND of the Vines deserves certainly the title of the most beautiful Romance vault of Vaucluse rural. Posed like a jewel on a green ECRIN, you will be surprised by the beauty of its interior decorations.
