Pelvoux-Vallouise is a station village combining of the equipment to accomodate the children, the tracks for all the levels and a very beautiful field of ski out-track and excursion.

In edge of the National park of the Jewel cases, with the foot of prestigious tops such as the Mount Pelvoux (3946m), Ailefroide (3953m) and the Bar of the Jewel cases (4102m), and near the ski resorts of Puy St Vincent and Pelvoux-Vallouise, Vallouise has what to attract the in love ones with the high mountain.
This village of mountain to traditional architecture, mixing wood and the stone, is also famous for its classified medieval church, its vault of penitent covered with murals and its many sundials.
Romance porch, plank lombarde, superb gray and yellow stone, the church Étienne saint is not without reason the major building of the valley of Gyronde. It is drawn up, majestic, on a placette where throne a beautiful round fountain, out of pink stones, with heads of lion (gone back to 1894).
Near, you will notice a small vault with the frontage painted in horn-the eye: it is about the vault of Penitent, built at the end of the 16th century. Of mountain style, its bell-tower and its frontage, covered of a fresco representing the Assumption of the Virgin ", were restored in 1877.
Picturesque and animated, equipped with all the trade and even with a discotheque, the village of Vallouise promises holidays "nature" - its air light and vivifying will suffice for you requinquer -

The skiable field extends from 1250 m to 2300 m of altitude. 1050 m of uneven on 34 km of marked tracks. 12 tracks including 3 black, 4 reds, 5 blue and 2 green. 1 chair-lift, 6 skis-lift and 1 baby.
1 track lit for the night ski. 39 hectares covered with snow artificially allowing a return station.
