On the Road of the Lavender, just a step from Sault and from the Regional Natural reserve of Luberon, Saint Christol is situated in the middle of landscapes to be cut you breath, in the centre of the country of Albion on the verge of the countries of Apt, Forcalquier and Carpentras.

Saint Christol is the Mecca of the caving(speleology), the amateurs will appreciate the numerous avens which count by several dozens on Albion's tray(plateau). Those that prefer to circulate in opened sky will be able to take advantage of magnificent walks to be made on the Mountain Ventoux. Around Sault and Saint Christol of vast fields of lavenders extend as far as the eye can see, in alternation with the fields of cereal crops, these landscapes are almost clichés of High Provence and are so beautiful that they give you gooseflesh.

In the village you will visit the magnificent classified Romanic church ancient memorial, based in 1119 by the Benedictines of Holy André de Villeneuve les Avignon. The original decoration will surprise you, it is a plant bestiaire and a remarkable animal, columns are decorated with snakes, lions and the other fabulous animals, the whole is soaked of mystic one divine it deserve really your bend!
