Small commune of mountain, located in balcony above the lake of Greenhouse-Ponçon, halfway between Savines the Lake (place chief of canton) and the ski resort of Réallon. Saint-Apollinaire small village calms, is a place of contemplation prevailing in all points.
From 113 permanent inhabitants in low season, the population passes from 250 to 300 inhabitants in period of holidays.
Indeed, in the primarily agricultural common beginning, this one becomes, by the progressive disappearance of the exploitations, a residential commune.
To approximately 2,5 km with the top of the village is the Saint-Apollinaire Lake (1452m). A municipal camp-site, created in 1985, a small restaurant, a snack bar - miniature golf, and some liberal professions exist on the commune.
