Commune of the park of Mercantour, St Etienne of Tinée is a large borough of mountain built at the edge of the river, with the hollow of a broad sunny valley.

On the place, throne a beautiful church baroque of imposing size, coldly repainted of gold yellow: admire its Romance bell-tower and its chorus of the 14th century.

Partly rebuilt in the Thirties, following a fire, St Etienne still has some roofed passageways, fountains and frontages with the colors pastel, to discover along its fresh streets which smell the wood fire good.

The amateurs of painting in horn-the eye will be delighted, the frescos are numerous, like those of the Fabri house or the vault of the penitent white, with its beautiful sundial.

On the territory of the commune, the station of Auron but also several tops approaching the 3000m and of splendid lakes of high mountain (Vens, Rabuons, Ténibre).
