Classified as "quoted of character", the village has a historical rich person inheritance and will make you discover very beautiful architectural curiosities which date from the Middle Ages and Renaissance.Du strong castle of the seigneuriale family of Simiane-Agoult, it remains today the rotunda of the XII° which dominates the village of the top of its hillock. This rotunda is presented in the form of a broad keep of almost round form with an immense arched ceiling. Restored recently, it accomodates every summer a festival of old music.

While walking you in the streets of the village, you will cross beautiful frontages, doors carve and of the delicately worked windows. Gardens and terraces were arranged with the accesses of certain lanes and will allow you to appreciate splendid panoramas on the blue fields of lavender. It should be stressed that Simiane was a long time the regional capital of the lavender and remains today still a significant center of production.
