In front of the church, the bronze statue of famous Jean Henri Fabre ( 1823-1915 ), sat(based) stick well in hand, remind that this famous entomologist lived in the village of numerous years. In 1879, Jean Henri Fabre decides to settle down definitively in his Sérignon's country house called Harmas. Real encyclopaedist, researcher, curious about everything and touching all the disciplines, it(he) left behind him the 11 volumes of souvenires entamologiques, school works, numerous watercolours and manuscripts.
After the death, Harmas became a national museum in which are kept(preserved) the treasures of this scholar: drawings, publications, herbariums, minerals, insects, shells and fossils, without forgetting the botanical garden, where more than 800 sorts are labelled.
Favourite Diane of François's 1-st Poitiers, stayed at the end of her life, in 1565 , to Sérignan in the castle of her father, then Lord of places. Of the castle, there are numerous vestiges. A tower adjoining the church Saint-Etienne welcomes the municipal clock and the forged iron bell tower.
