Perched on a spur with 400 meters of altitude, Puyloubier is held peacefully with the foot of the Southern slope of theSainte-Victoire mountain. Surrounded by vast wooded and rock extents, Puyloubier offers the sumptuous landscapes of a preserved and wild nature.
It is one of the stages of the road of Cézanne which takes its departure in Aix and recalls through the communes of the country of Aix the various places where Cézanne worked or lived. Puyloubier was without question one of the places which has to inspire it… you will be here under the rock masses bluish and gray of the Holy Victoire that it knew so well to paint.
