With the heart of the Regional Natural reserve of Queyras, in a site enchantor, to 15 km of the Italian border, Molines in Queyras is a beautiful small village at the wood houses - frontages in logs of larch, balconies in boards - typical of this area of High Queyras - old houses traditional, known as "fustes" (of Latin "fustis", beam out of wooden)

These wood houses comprised cattle shed and dwelling at the ground floor and "fuste" on the floor, being used at the same time of barn and hayloft. Nowadays, of many fustes were refitted to make modern residences of them, but the majority date from 17th and the 18th centuries, and are brightened picturesque sundials on their frontages.

Typical also, the fountains and feeding troughs out of wooden, just as the "communal oven" which preserved all its seal as well as the fruit-bearing ones (houses where one collects milk): as many symbols of the Community life formerly.

A little with the variation the village, you will admire the church Saint Romain with square bell-tower, which, in its current form, dates from the 17th century, and shelters a remarkable retable out of carved wooden.

In winter, Molines shares with its Saint-Véran neighbor the skiable field of the chain of Beauregard. You will be able to practise there the skiing on piste in family but especially the ski touring (all types of tracks, since the green ones for beginners until black for the skiers aguerris) or the alpine ski touring: more than ten tops are accessible in winter for the bold ones except track!
