This tiny village of only 48 inhabitants is situated on the border of the Alps of High Provence in one of the extremities of the road of the ochre.
You will be able to appreciate peace and tranquillity which reigns to Gignac and to make big walks in luxurious natural which surrounds the village side Vaucluse or side the Alps of High Provence.
You are here in the Regional Natural reserve of Luberon in the middle of magnificent landscapes, the cliffs of ochre of the Provençal Colorado are close and the vast fields of lavenders are not far either.
You will also be able to discover Gignac's castle and its fortifications which knew how to resist to the religious wars of the XVI °, the castle is classified ancient memorial since 1997 (private property).-
