Gap, which counts 38 600 inhabitants, is located in the south-east of France, with 100 kilometers in the south of Grenoble and with 150 kilometers in the north of Aix-en-Provence, on the tourist route of the Napoleon Road. It is the chief town of the department of Hautes-Alpes.

Between Provence and Dauphiné, Gap is impossible to circumvent on the Napoleon Road which connects Grenoble to the Mediterranean. In the vast pedestrian precinct, after having strolled along the shops, you will discover the town hall and the cathedral of the XIXème century. The museum of Gap invites you to a voyage in time, you will see the city of Southerly wind such as it was presented in 1550 as well as most of the cultural treasures of the High Alps.
