Since 1980, every four years, the Tradition and Culture Days are held during the Heritage Day in Pernes-les-Fontaines.

For two days the village jumped back a century to relive the atmosphere of yesteryear and find his roots. 
It is an authentic feast whose Pernois are the actors, ii revive the legacy of expertise how and traditions deeply rooted and alive in this city of 11,000 inhabitants ,label of : city of art crafts and situed at the foot of the Giant of Provence, Mont Ventoux. 
The intramural turns the alleys, squares and monuments live" Rémouleurs" pace of blacksmiths buyers skins, peddlers of the past, if we move dà foot, horseback or bicycle.  Thus, the former center of Pernes undergoes a metamorphosis or most inhabitants are of the traditional costume and come out Comtadin  we see the first steam cars machines and old tools. it's just a respectful homage to the past and a journey through time!
