Leaned with the rock barrier of Crémon, the village of Demandolx overhangs the Lakes Chaudanne and Castillon, offering a splendid panorama which points out the Norwegian fjords where the major blue of the lakes gleams in a green ECRIN of mountains.
Borrow one of the tiny lanes of the old center and you will travel in time, between old barns with the abandonment or nicely restored.
For the remainder, the village is composed of recent and vain maisonnettes, with the merry frontages coldly painted, surrounded by gardens, gathered in a new district with unspoilable view on the lake and the valley.
With its pavements, standard lamps and remade pavements of nine, its large modern, impeccable and flowered carpark, Demandolx breathes the cleanliness and the quality of the life.
If the ruins of the castle and the village of origin, which still remain with the place says "city", constitute one of rare curiosities of Demandolx, the greatest charm of the village, they are of course the landscapes, of high timbered hills, remained magnifiquement wild.
