Located at 230 m of altitude, in the heart of the Provence average, in the back of the department of Var country, Cotignac is a village of caractère.Le village draws up in a spectacular way with the foot of a majestic rock from which fall a cascade.

The old district, frame with the foot of cliff, offers to the visitors old houses with the frontages of XVIème and XVIIème, narrow lanes, stone ornaments or ironwork which are as many testimonys of the past. The fountains are numerous and curious, they offer a fresh and clear water.

The new village extends to the South in direction from the Cassole river.
