With two steps of the littoral, Cogolin is a village of Provence picturesque built on

slopes of the solid mass of Maures. With a very soft climate all the year, Cogolin is one of the rare communes of the department of the VAr to slowly stretch grounds to banks of the Mediterranean.

The legend of Cogolin

It tells that the boat carrying of Italy the body of the Torpès Knight, after having failed initially on the shores of current Saint-Tropez, went with his passengers of misfortune - a cock and a dog to run up in the content of the gulf.
