Caderousse is a small peaceful village built in an ancient(former) buckle of the Rhone and protégé by a dike three metres in height, which encircles him(it) completely. This dike built in 1856 had to protect the village of the frequent floods of the Rhone. Only two doors drilled in the dike allow to reach it: The door Léon Roche, more known with the former(ancient) under the name of door of Orange and the door Castelan.
