Bastide of Jourdans is a peaceful village situated in the valley of Aigues in the South of Luberon. Based at the beginning of the XIII ° by the Count de Forcalquier, Bastide of Jourdans owes its name to his first feudal lords, the knights Guillaume and Pierre Jourdan who built there the first bastide (big house of robust construction).
Bastide of Jourdans is a strengthened village perched in 428 m of height dominated with a castle of the XIII ° of which there are some vestiges. Between the medieval towers, constructions of the XIX ° come to fit giving to the set(group) a rather peculiar speed.
