Located on the first buttresses of the Alps, Aups is to 60 km of the edge of sea and 80 km of the snowfields, with the doors of superb Pays of the Verdon.
Aups could preserve in its inheritance some interesting historical vestiges of the XI° at the XVI° century: ramparts, ruins of strong castle, turn of the clock, collegial Gothic… While strolling in the old picturesque streets of the village, you will be able admire superb old doors, delicately worked lintels, medieval houses, old fountains which decorate charming small places, you will notice also some beautiful sundials.
Aups famous in all the area for its famous and very waited is gone to black truffles. It takes place every Thursday from November to February. If you are in the area at this period, do not miss it under any pretext!…
