The village of Aubenas is located in the country of Forcalquier,
At the end of a tiny road which crosses Lubéron the village is claircemé on a dry stone terrace in fine gravels, shaded of chestnut trees centenaires, are held two or three beautiful stone-built houses, of which one, an old presbytery of the 17th century (having staircase with balusters, and chimney with gypsery), is coupled with superb a small church with wall-belfry with three bays (12th century!)
Aubenas, small seigniory going back to the 15th century, kept some residences of the 16th century, Around the village of large fields of lavenders will embaumeront your days of summer. Vast cultivated fields, plates, peaks and hills undulating, cypress and cherry trees… you are in the Regional Natural reserve of Luberon! and beside the Observatory of High-Provence of the C.N.R.S where you will be able to observe and approach stars, comets and planets… (Visite every Wednesday with 15h)

Basic castle feudal altered with 16th and 17th century (to be admired through the grids!), Church Our Lady of the Assumption of the 12th century.
Hamlet of Paraire (for its houses of Renaissance style). Many mills of beautiful pace in the neighbourhoods.

Pedestrian excursions (Passage of the GR. 6, "path of Hellébores" or "ballade of the castle"), VTT and bicycle. Wall of climbing.
