Tradition and modernity.

This geographical concept confirms the double vocation of the thermal spa and climatique.Le blazon blood and gold testifies to the deep attachment of this city to the Catalan traditions and, although it bears the name of the Amélie queen, wife of Louis-Philippe, king of the French, it keeps living her folklore and its traditions.Mais the station also answers waitings of urban stressed while becoming Green Station of Holidays.

Amélie: the place was known for its baths as of antiquity, one finds of them the many traces, most significant being of course what remains Roman thermal baths (partly destroyed or reorganized at the XIXe century). One also found at last century, in the part known as Lo Gros Escalador, of engraved leads which made run much ink (they would be dedicated to divinities with the mysterious name, Kantae Niskae, if one believes of it famous inscription "KANTAS NISKAS ROGAMOS AND DEPRECAMUS").

The church of Amélie: dedicated to Quentin saint (sant Quintí), the church is a building of the end of the XIXe century, built in a style which wants to be medieval, with a strange turret surmounting the frontage. The old church, building Romance of XIIe century, it also dedicated to Quentin saint, was near the thermal baths and was demolished about 1870.
