With its town hall to the nicely diluted pink frontage, Laragne-Montéglin is pleasant a small quiet city, equipped with all trade as well as many coffees where to take glass in terrace at the beautiful days…

The large church with the beautiful bell-tower of Romance style, has, inside, a very sober but enlightened nave of splendid stained glasses, all gone back to 1901 which represent each one a saint (Holy Jean, Joseph, Leon, Louis or François d' Assise).

Behind the church, a charming Giono garden which wants to be "teaching" will bring you a note of freshness.

The amateurs of inheritance will not miss the castle by Perrinet, on the place of the Surfaces: built at the 17th century by Gaspard de Perrinet, Lord of Laragne, and often altered during centuries, one visits only his arched cellars, in the past a bakery, now transformed into museum. A permanent exposure reports there the construction of the castle of 1609 to 1630.

Since the mountain of Chabre, which dominates the city, the "liberists" of whole Europe jump into space. To have accomodated in 1994 the championship of Europe of delta wing, Laragne became indeed the "European capital of the coasting flight", a springboard of quasi permanent takeoff for the parapentes and other delta wings.
