You will enter in Fos by a splendid alley bordered of pines of Alep centenaire, a such guard of honour. On this rock is the castle, Castrum de Fossis, mentioned as of 923, it is one of the oldest castles of low Provence.
Park on the place of the market (too difficult carpark on the rock at the village), you will follow the new approach ramp and will penetrate in this fortress by the Northern Door. You will appercevrez the keep (built en1200) by traversing the covered way, footbridges overhanging the last excavations will show you the bases of the primitive tower of Castrum.
You will not then fail to visit the church St Saver.
